Japanese Transparent Frog
This is one of those truly weird animals. Get this some
scientist in Japan at the Institute for Amphibian Biology at
Hiroshima University mutant Japanese brown frogs also known as
Rena japonica and developed these almost completely transparent
frogs. The scientist created these strange animals by combining
two types of recessive genes that causes the frogs to be pale.
These transparent frogs are used for research, and enable the
scientist to observe how different toxins affect the different
organs of the frog without dissecting them. If you look close in
the pictures you can even see all of the frogs eggs that it is
carrying.
